Anniversary and birthday event photography in Cheshire
Sarah got in touch a few months ago to ask me about photographing a very special family event – both her Granny and Grandad and Great Aunt and Uncle were celebrating their 60th wedding anniversaries. The family was going to gather at the Grosvenor Hotel in Chester to celebrate. And there was a 80th birthday party in the family to boot.
I love happy families together so when Sarah *warned* me that her family was a little mad, I knew I was really going to enjoy myself.
Everyone gathered on the Gallery overlooking the amazing chandelier in the beautiful, landmark Grosvenor Hotel in the centre of Chester and were so obviously happy to see each other and to be together. Sarah had been very organised and given me a list of portraits that her Granny and Grandad would be really pleased to have. With her help, we got on with making sure we definitely got those ones but managed to get lots of others too. Sarah had prompted everyone to get themselves organised for me. It was fun getting the shot of the whole group on the stairs next to the chandelier.
After the drinks reception, the group was invited to head to the Westminister Suite where they would have their meal. The room looked amazing with the big long central table all set for the occasion and the three cakes to celebrate the two anniversaries and the birthday. When the food started to arrive, I felt I’d crashed the family party long enough and said my good-byes.
